The Major Scan and me...

Had my major detailed scanning yesterday. Feeling excited and nervous during the scan. Excited because finally baby was in perfect position to check on the gender while nervous was because it's a major detailed scan that will tells you everything about the baby, from the brain to the heart to the spine, to the little fingers/toes and even to the eyes and lips. Luckily everything was normal and my baby's lip looks so much like Fayth's lip! Hopefully baby got Fayth's big eyes too.

After my scanning, I went to see my gynae and the first thing I told her was my biggest problem of all.... my constipation (yeah, I remember this time!). When I told her about my bowel 'routine', she gave me a "Wow, you are serious" look and prescribed 3 types of medications for me. 1 box of High Fiber Orange to drink every morning, 2 bottles of liquid Laxative for 3 times daily and (the last shraw) 4 bullets to insert to stimulate gut movement IF the first 2 doesn't work on me! Ya, I am this serious, beyond your imagination...

Also mentioned to her about my backache as I ever went to the TCM but currently there's nothing they could do except to give me oilment to rub on my back. Doc Tan also said that now I can only apply oil or take panadol if the pain get worst.... Never mind, the most I go out shopping less lor. Be good girl, endure till after delivery.

During yesterday routine test, my result showed there's sugar in my urine. It's not high now but I got to start cutting down on my sugar intake and if next month my test result shows that there's sugar again, I'll be ask to go for diabetic blood test... (Am a good girl now)

And yes! I will be having another Princess! As what Fayth had always expected, she will have a meimei to play with!

Now I can start searching for names and shop for all the pinky girly stuffs... A pink romper for baby to wear during discharge from hospital, a pink receiving blanket, a pink mitten and bootie, a pink or a red pram. I make sure everything will be chosen and decide by me, no more whites this time (ZPGY will understands what I mean....)!

I've started to racky and do comparison on breast pump, milk bottle sterilizer and pram. Currently still deciding which brand and what model to buy (all cost a bomb!). Once if there's any promotion and good buy, I won't let the chance slip off from my hand else I'll suffer from burning wallet!!

Time flies, I'm at the halfway mark - 20 weeks of pregnancy. Just another 20 weeks more to go!!!

Baby, be good girl, stay inside mummy's womb for another 5 months and let's have a smooth delivery together ok!

SCORPIO WOMAN

A simple woman who always show what kind of a moods she is in. You can tell right way if she up set, or if she is flirting with you. She displays herself with her act much more than trying to say it for it's in her character.

Her relationship will be more important than what is right or wrong. Because of this reason, you may know some Scorpio woman become a second wife, a mistress. Few days back, my sil's bf bought her a Cheong-sum from Hong Kong but when asked if she like the cheong-sum......

SIL: Do you like this dress that Ed kor kor bought for you?
Fayth: No, I don't like because princess don't wear this type (referring to cheong sum) of dress. Princess wear... (she opened the wardrobe and took out that pink-black dress) this!!!
SIL: But that (cheong sum) is china princess dress, so pretty!
Fayth: (Very fierce tone) No! Not nice, princess don't wear that!

All of us laugh till stomach pain, really is a vain pot as what Lilian had said!

Week 19: The poop factory is now open

Uh Oh... didn't managed to get time to update for the past 1 week as I'm busy with work...yeah, been really busy working as some of my colleagues were on leave for holidays (so envy) and needed to take over with some of their work loads (hardly had any time for msn/skype chatting as well).

Time flies and I'm now in my pregnancy week 19 (4 months and 3 weeks to be exact). Just 1 more week to my scheduled appointment on 18 May for the major scanning and of course the 'peeping' to my baby's gender...

Fetal development in pregnancy week 19: Your amazing little baby is now around 10 inches in length! If this seems a bit shocking, you’ll be relieved to know they’ve not actually grown over 3 inches, but that their little legs are now straight enough to be measured. This is when doctors begin measuring fetal growth from head to toe, (no longer “crown to rump” or CR). Lanugo (little hairs) covers their whole body now, trapping that charming cheese-like vernix caseosa (see week 18) to the surface to the skin. This week your lil’ fetus will start on an appetizing diet of amniotic fluid which they are now capable of swallowing, digesting, and passing the fluid as far as their tiny “large” intestines. Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

How your life's changing: Think you're big now? You'll start growing even faster in the weeks to come. As a result, you may notice some achiness in your lower abdomen or even an occasional brief, stabbing pain on one or both sides — especially when you shift position or at the end of an active day. What is going on with mom & baby?

Baby: Don't be too shocked but... your baby is EVEN bigger than it was last week, not to mention getting cuter, and smarter every day! Baby’s crown to rump length is around 13.5 cm. Your baby weighs about 150-200 grams, has fine hair called lanugo forming on her head and body. Your baby is forming enamel on her teeth now and is beginning to develop fat underneath her skin. Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop. Reactive listening has begun for your baby, even though their ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional. Meanwhile, different parts of their astonishingly complex brain are developing to process your little one’s hearing and other senses, (you know, sight, smell, taste and touch).

Mom: You may be having more aches and pains now. You may be experiencing pain on the sides of your abdomen called round ligament pain. This is caused by your expanding uterus and your ligaments stretching. You may also start having problems with heartburn if you haven’t already.

This Week's Activity: Start a baby name list. (I have already start choosing names origin from Spanish, Italian and English!) Make a list of ten names you like. Have your partner do the same. Trade lists and each cross out one name on the other's list that you dislike. Keep taking turns until you have a set of names you can both live with. Talk about why you like and dislike certain names. Many couples even create ground rules, such as no names of former girlfriends or boyfriends and no names that have ever been used for family pets.

Weekends..

Fayth was running down with fever, bad cough and runny nose on Saturday evening. Was on urgent leave this morning as I decided to bring her to KKH see doctor instead of going to the neighbourhood GP as their medicines doesn't seems to works on Fayth.

Had dinner with mummy and cousin on Saturday night and to challenger as mummy wanted to get a lappy. She chosen a HP lappy at $2k+ so she's entitle to purchase a camera at special price and of cause that camera is for me... heeheehee~~~ Different model of camera charge at different special price. So, after much consideration, I had chosen a Sony 10M.P camera at a top up of $149 only. That's a great deal though but of cause branding wise, it can't compare to Canon.

Yesterday went to HB's 'god brother' wedding dinner. I dressed Fayth up as a little princess. When I told her in the noon that she's going to wear a mini tiara for the night, she's so happy that can't stop bugging me to change her up. This is the photos I've took for her before the dinner.
